It looks like I've volunteered myself to run a fun photo show....
I need lots of suggestions for classes - the sillier and more fun the better!
So far we have:
The root vegetable that looks most like a thingy. In association with Baldrick.
The smallest crop ever.
The most specatular failure.
You get the picture - we don't want anything that would normally appear in veg shows - so no biggest or best.
Get your thinking caps on...
Also should we have an entry fee that goes to charity or should it just be free?
- only veg?? = Tim
Oh no - we could do flowers, plants, animals, people on lottie, basically anything, as long as it's silly (and clean!)
Nothing's ever clean on my lottie.... Oh! I see what you mean :-[

You'll have to scrub the carrots, then?? = Tim
Oh, and how soon can things be posted - and where? Like here, or on a web album?
How about the most original planter - people sometimes plant up wellies, loos, old cars etc
Like that, Gillian. It's suprising what people will grow in/on/round/over what, eh? Try starting a new thread on 'ornimental supports', (or some such title.)
Right, I am nipping round to mums with me camera then. She has a loo, urinal, lavvy cistern, bath tub, sinks, tin bath and shoes all planted up. Twas my dads fault, he was a milkman and would frequently come home with something he 'lifted' from a skip, and as we had no back garden as such, only concrete, they all formed the planters for me to grow things in. Such class in Surrey you know! ;D
The caption reads;
Didn't you know that smoking stunts your growth?

I like it Gardener!
How about a captioned photo class too?
How about a different thread for each category ie: Captioned photos, pets, unusual containers etc. Anyone with a good idea could start a thread. Then when there are so many photos posted have a poll on that thread to see who is the winner (or would that be too complicated ::) :))

Where's this Allotment?
A lively allotment society can negotiate, liaise, work with local councils, local firms, sponsors of a varity of kinds and local voluntary groups, social service departments, environmental and food growing organisations, civic trusts, to develop events to encourage people to visit a site for ecological work, and enabling youngsters to discover their confidence and self-respect in repairing buildings in the company of other plotholders, in ways that give people responsibility and responsiveness to the environment
