having fun in the shallow end.

Aren't they incredible to watch when having a bath?!
Watched a crow bathing in a puddle the other day, he was having such a lovely time and the sun turned his feathers into a rainbow of colours...amazing! Totally changed my view of crows!
;)
Awww what lovely pics. ;D Wish I had some baby birds.
G x
have you noticed it's only the babies that take a bath ? the parents don't bother. :o
Guess what? A few weeks ago I saw a Robin taking a bath in a puddle in a car park. It was so cute. First time I've ever seen a Robin out of season so to speak. His little red breast was brick brown. Aaaaw.
0n my way into glasgow the other day there was a family outing in a puddle ....plenty of splish splashing going on...almost missed my train because all the fun ::) ;D
fab pics mrskp :)
My gang of sparras are forever bathing, young and old. I have one water dish next to the pond and some of the young uns are just about walking on water. They do love the water. This morning a young blackie used 'their' dish and they crowded round and watched him. as if to say, get off thats my water!!!!! Silly fool here went out after him and topped up the plate with fresh water. Daft eh! couldnt care. ::) ::) ::)
Great photos Mrs KP :) That is one thing I am missing at the moment, the sight of the blackbirds enjoying a splash about in the stream on our pond :'(
i've been extra specially careful to make sure they have clean bath water every morning, so not at all daft Carol. ;D
I've only just seen these! Ahhhh, what little sweeties. But all this show-off talk about puddles? Forgotten what one looks like, almost.
we laugh at your drought ! :P
not in Edinburgh KP! Dust baths more like :( :(
i've often thought there must be benefits to living in the west. this summer, i've learned why ! we had a glorious july (for us anyway), so we were happy with the heat and happily playing with the hose, but we have enough water to survivie.
my kinda town.
;D
As a born and bred Weegie I can empathise with that. Still like Edinburgh though - it's a smallish and manageable capital city and very pretty and open to fields, hills, sea etc. And Glasgow's less than an hour away. ;)
