Is it OK to wash garlic, before hanging it up to dry, to get the soil off?
Also, are there any other harvesting tips?

You can - so long as you dry thoroughly afterwards.
More usual to rub the soil off with the first skin when dry.
Dry it out, and the outer skin just comes off with the dirt. Twist off as much root as you can, and hang it.
I wouldn't wash it .Would just rub it off and hang to dry ..Then clean it when thoroughly dried..Hang outside if possible.....Cheers Jim
Aha! I was right??
