My allotment - the netting up the top is the new chicken area - its finished now and chooks moving there today!

Nice clear pics!  I love pattypans and have told myself to grow more of these and less courgettes next year.

Your mystery squash, could be a butternut maybe?  And the lettuce type plant at the bottom looks like  a chicory style lettuce to me.  Are the leaves hairy and bitter?  If so, you can leave them in the ground, chop back in the winter and in spring they will shoot new, fresh, hopefully non hairy leaves which you then munch on.

Yes EJ they are Hairy leaves! Not tasted them LOL... but I'll do as you say.

I do hope the other squash is a butternut as the chickens ate everything i sowed... and took the tags off everything else... so fingers crossed!

I thought possibly spag squash and sugar loaf type chicory?
