A good harvest, what will they be used for (as I presume you will be cooking them).

As this is my first year having a allotment many of you say you get a glut of courgettes but I must say i'm not really got many. I have three green and two yellow and only have about 5-6 a week. Do you think I may of planted too close together and so they are starving of food? Also two pumpkin plants which are close by too.

Rosyred, I have one green courgette plant and I get about 5 fruits per week.  It's given enough space too. I imagine yield depends on the plants' varieties as well. :)

I agree with Tora's estimate, I have three plants and are getting about a dozen fruit a week or a shade more. Rosyred, you may find that your plants have just not hit their peak yet ...
