Post by: Likes Roses on August 02, 2006, 11:59:00
Hi,
I have justcome back from a holiday in Orkney! what al ovely place . We stayed with friends and whist looking at their garden noticed how tiny their gooseberries were. They were really overgrown and havent been pruned for years. Is this the problem?

Gooseberries are almost indestructible.. We had one when I was growing up and if gave Lbs of fruit every year without ever being pruned... do get smaller fruit though!

My fruits were smaller this year - put it down to lack of rain.
