Title: Chillies red/green?

My chillies are about 4 inches long and looking great. Green at the moment, if I leave them, will they go red? The variety is debatable, freebies from a magazine which said they are "Cayenne Chillies"

Are these the bizarre GYO ones, labled Cayenne, but the illustration shows upright chillies?

If so do the peppers hang down, as they should, or grow upright?
