Title: Small courgette plants
Post by: Sherwood on July 30, 2006, 21:49:57
My courgettes started flowering when they only about a foot wide. I took the flowers off, but as I havn't been able to get down for a few days small courgettes are forming. The plants are still only about 18 ns wide - any tips?

Leave them be and let nature run its course.  Leave the flowers on: can't form fruit without them!

I'll second that. Mine are only tiny too at the moment but I'm hoping they're just about to put on an enormous growth spurt..... :)

Don't worry about them, they're as tough as.

I'll second that Curry.  Must have had a sprinkling of rain overnight at end of last week, and I swear all my plants are now twice the size they were.

Once they take the hint they don't hang about... I was away for the weekend and my trailing squash are two-three feet longer than on Friday!
