Title: Check these out.....my first batch of carrots.
Post by: Chris Graham on July 30, 2006, 17:08:14
I thought it was about time i lifted some carrots from my garden plot.

Some of them look quite funny.

They also taste great, i still cant believe I'm growing these in my garden!

Enjoy them Chris, nothing tastes better then home grown produce fresh from the garden or allotment.

Yes, they would be rejected by the supermarkets, for produce that are perfectly straight and the same size but dull and tasteless. How sad is that. Trouble is, you will not be happy with commercially grown carrots now  :D

The funnier they look the more I enjoy eating them, safe in the knowledge that I couldn't have bought them in a supermarket.

Enjoy them  :)

Yeh thats my plan.

I didnt even prepare the soil, all i did was take the top layer of grass off and sow the seeds.  Must have been lucky!

Nest season i shall prepare the soil better are remove tree roots and stones.
