I know it's only a piddly tiddler, but I was sooooo pleased! I didn't expect any to grow cos I thought they were hard... Obviously not that hard then!!

Yippee! And tonite whilst watering, I spotted my first chillis of the year. Hoorah! ;D
Sally well done, exciting isn't it to see a "first" of anything you have grown.
Well done Sally, what next?
I have lost a load of pods to BER this morning :'(
We grew two plants on the kitchen windowsill (right next to each other)
All the leaves fell off one. ??? This has been binned.
The other has three peppers on it (max 4 cm long) ;D. Has now moved outside 'cos it got too tall.
Wonder what happend to the first one?
Aww he is a real cute piddly tiddler sally ;) hope you are real proud ;D
Dear little chap. What are you calling him, Sally??
The first one probably got a foot rot, roots or stem get attacked by fungi and plant shrivels and dies...
Don't eat it all at once will you!
Sorry to hear about the BER Amphibian.
;D
congratulations Sally!
I have my first ever tiny peppers too!
one looks like yours (almost exactly) and the ohers is even smaller. but they change every day.
very rewarding!

;D
It's what happens when you ask a friend to water while you are away. I just hope my plants survive the fortnight I am away soon. :o
BER = blossom end rot? :o
I didn't know peppers were prone. It's my first year and I'm treating them the same as I do my chillies ie a little water only when they beg for it. Should I be watering the sweet peppers more frequently/regularly?

They are not particularly prone, but do get it. Overwatering is more likely to be the issue with peppers.
Awwww! lovely! congratulations!
Thanks everyone! I am proud, it's great to see him grow (Tim, I think I might call him Arthur, do you think he suits it?!). Here's a photo update from Monday 24th... See how he's grown!

PS. I have been watering mine everyday, but they are in pots so perhaps they need it? ??? Sorry to hear some peoples haven't made it. :(
I'm not that bothered by those I have lost, I have hundreds more on other plants, I literally have a pepper farm this year.
I only water when they are dry, in pots.
