Title: Cucumbers - Do I have a problem?
Post by: Svengali on July 20, 2006, 13:01:03
I noticed today that many of my cucumber leaves are becomming mottled. Is this a natural aging process, or do I have a problem, if so, what should I do about it?
My plants are being fed Tomorite at the same time as my toms.

I feel a little guilty answering these questions as i am a new member but i find it hard to resist,
That looks like sun scald, usualy caused by water droplets being magnified by the sun.. Try a little coolgkass to shade it and damp down late in the day when the sun is not so strong. Its nothing to worry about

Please, please, please don't feel guilty Davy. I'm growing cukes for just the 2nd year and 2 of my plants (the 2 outdoor ones) look just like that. I'll be more careful with the watering in future. :-[  Thanks for the answer.
