Please pray for rain, we are on fire :'(
We live directly opposite a moor and at 1pm this afternoon i had to dial 999 as our beautiful moor was on fire :'(
Its so close to the house and such a worry, it burned and burned and two hours later the whole town looked like a bomb had gone off as there is so much smoke.
The fire has continued to burn and i feel pretty worried.
The fire was even featured on the local tv news and we sat watching as we saw our house being filmed :o
These pics were taken from my bedroom window.

It looks awful. Nothing like the wildfires they get in some parts of the world, fortunately, but bad enough. I'll never forget seeing miles of moor burning in 1976. At this rate we may be in for a repeat.
Sorry i cant get the earlier pics to post, i would like to have shown them but there seems to be a red cross :-\
Oh honey, I am keeping everything crossed for a good downpour ASAP please Mother Nature! There have been a lot of fires in Essex also, some quite close by. A real worry! Keep us posted Honey!
honeybee. That must be an awful worry. Hoping for rain especially where fires have started or likely to start., Do let us know how things are, Take care,
Lorna.
OMG Honeybee! That looks terrible. I hear that the weather is changing and the rain is coming, so hope it does it quickly for your area. Must be quite frightening to witness. Keep safe, :o busy_lizzie
