Title: Tasty mini yellow plum?
Post by: tim on July 17, 2006, 10:38:56
No1 Daughter will only eat mini-plums. Like Santa.

But we think that a yellow one will be better for arthritis?

Any ideas?  Did NOT like Reisentraube.

Hi Tim-a fellow member kindly sent me some seeds of `Mrs Taylor`s Yellow Pear`  the first fruit are nearly ripe  and they are small,yellow---and yes pear shaped.

If I get them fully ripe I would be happy to send you some seed for next year.

Tasty?-yes indeed Tim-that remains to be tested.

It`s when harvest time comes that one realises that those who were kind enough to send seeds no longer post-I hope they are well and I will always remember them when I harvest

Tasteless - & not much consistency.

Of course, just the way I grew them!!

Ho hum.  Oh well, I imagine I will have some ready soon enough so will have to see.  If they aren't up to much then I will encorporate them with some chillis and other toms to make a chilli tomato sauce.

And doing a bit of surfing today, I read that the difference in acceptability for arthriticers is so marginal that it's not worth the hassle!!
