Title: Sport Relief Mile
Post by: SMP1704 on July 10, 2006, 19:33:29
I have been persuaded by my youngest that this is a really good idea, so I've signed us all up for our local venue on Saturday.

Now we just need sponsorship..you know what's coming next dont you ;)  I have set us a fairly modest target, which we will hopefully exceed.

If you would like to sponsor us, could you PM your email address and I will then email you a link to the Sport Relief sponsorship page.

Dan - hope this doesn't break the rules :-[

Thanks everyone

Sharon

Good luck Sharon! Trouble is, and guess that'll hapen on here, lot of people will be doing it themselves....but will be with you in spirit if not in cash - all goes to the same cause!

Well done Sharon and good luck with that!  Pics, details and all that!  :D

I can't imagine running (or biking) anywhere!  A swimathon maybe, but running?  Noooo.

Have just sponsored a young woman at work £20 as she's doing a sponsored sky-dive for the Tickled Pink cancer campaign.  The company do it every year and about 20 - 30 staff members take part (she got to me first, LOL)

Well, I'm here to tell the tale.

No1 son, soon to be a fully signed up member with Thames Valley Harriers, did it in under 5 mins and didn't even break a sweat.

No2 son, he's 8, took about 7 mins and ran most of the way.

Then there was me.  Walked most of the way, but made the effort for the home straight and ran.......first time since leaving school ;D ;D  Took about 10 mins

We are all proud owners of the ' done it' sock.

Still looking for sponsorship ;) ;) ;)
