Title: Bintje (potatoes)
Post by: dandelion on July 10, 2006, 18:00:14
This is widely grown in Belgium and considered THE potato for chipping. And since Belgian chips are the best in the world (not that I'm biased  ;))...

Anyway, I have lived in the UK for 17 years and have never seen this variety for sale in shops. Is it available as  a seed potato ????

No, never.

However, I love chips so may try them, especially as I agree that Belgium has the best chips.

I've never used it, so cannot vouch for them, however they stock a potato I have been looking for so will be usingthem next year.
