Title: Cu's gone mad
Post by: growmore on July 09, 2006, 15:58:05
Looks like  my cumbers have gone mad this year...
So much for staggered planting these 2 plant were 3 weeks apart being set  out in their buckets..

So rewarding?

But I would not let so many remain on the plants - they may well abort later ones?

Tim,These were in buckets with centre cut out .buried about a third of their depth into bed..   About a quarter of bucket filled with  rotted horse  manure  then rest of bucket filled with  general purpose  compost.. Once established ,Fed with Miracle grow liquid plant food  once a week ..When cu's appeared,  Changed to Tomorite twice a week ..
Pretty much same way as I grow my toms..
EJ Tell her when she finds them I keep carrier bags in green shed  key is under plant pot.. :)   ..Jim
