Title: Is this miniture Rosa 'Fire Princess'
Post by: Georgie on July 08, 2006, 19:49:41
Hi.  I was given this rose as a tiny pot plant in February when it was in flower.  I cut it back once the flowers had died and put it in a large pot outside.  It's now about 18" high and covered in buds.  The flowers are not scented.  I think it might be 'Frie Princess'.  Does anyone know if it is?  G x

Hi Georgie,
After checking my rose bible (Roger Phillips & Martyn Rix ROSES) i think it might be fire princess, the only thing that worries me is the picture i have in the bible shows the leaf slightly paler and slightly rounder, when i first seen the photo i thought it was red ace which i grew for exhibition 15 years ago but i know that does not throw out that many buds but i have been known to be wrong before.
hope you get the right answer good luck

Thanks for taking the trouble, rdm.  I dismissed red ace (can't remember why now).  I 've got another pic from a different angle if this helps.  G x
