Nice evening here so decided to harvest my 3 pots of garlic and the first of the baby beetroots I'm growing in the mixed (very mixed!) border. G x

Will probally grate into a salad.
Look good to me Georgie.....I will harvest my garlic this weekend....no beetroot ready yet though :(
Thanks, Mothy. I dunno much about beetroot, first time I've tried it, but I was told to harvest it young so I have done. ;D

You've got loads of those little cloves growing up the stems. What varieties are those?
Well done Georgie, they look very good. ;D ;D
I wish my garlic would split into cloves. :(
Nice harvest, today I harvested a wheelbarrow full of spuds, lifted due to blight.
Half a barrow full of shallots (so prolific I am not sure why I bother with onions) and the last of my aquadulce broadies.
Aww those garlic scrub up nice don't they?
Where's the plait? ;)
And beetroot looking good too, the cylindrical shape is ideal for grating! :o
Nice looking crops Georgie! Haven't looked at my beetroot yet but my garlic looks ready now. Isn't it a brilliant time of year - so satisfying when you can start harvesting. :) busy_lizzie
It's Thermidrome, Robert. Thanks to everyone else for their kind comments. I had a salad for lunch and everything in it (apart from the cheddar ;)) was home grown. Had leaf salad, watercress, spring onion, baby spinach, celery and grated beetroot. It was wonderful. ;D

...and here it is - before I'd added the cheese and onions. ;D G x
