Not refering to brewing thereof, hence posted here.
Had an interesting pint at lunchtime ('tis a Friday after all). Made under the name of "Ginger Ale" by the Pictish Brewery. It isn't ginger beer in the traditional sense, but it is a pale ale and does include ginger - smells of ginger, tastes pretty much like IPA - strange, but nice.
Worth a try if you like real ale.
Right. Time to POETS.
Have a good weekend - looks like good gardening weather; supposedly not too scorching with only a few showers. Yeah, well, I'll believe it when it's falling on me!

Sounds good. I used to make a wicked ginger wine, but the rest of the family all object violently to alcohol production in the house.

So get yourself a shed then Robert :D
That Ginger Ale sounds great! Are there any pubs our way that sell real ales, Robert?
Yes, but I don't often get to go there. Names escape me right now. The problem with winemaking in a shed is that fermentation goes on for a long time, at least the way I did it, and low temperatures would slow it right down or stop it. You really want an even temperature, which is why caves and cellars have often been used.
