Post by: rdm51 on July 06, 2006, 20:31:19
Hi All
Anybody know where i can get hold of 5.25 inch and 6.50 inch pots, have done the rounds of the local garden centres and searched on line but can only come up with 5 inch and 6 inch pots.
  Any help i would be very grateful.

You could try looking in here;

http://www.kayshorticulture.com/1.html (http://www.kayshorticulture.com/1.html)

I think your problem might be down to the new'metrication' system.

Pots are now being sold in 'litre' sizes now. I think you will find that the two sizes you are describing are 1.5 litre & 2.0 litre respectively.

I hope this helps you in your search.

Thanks Tee Gee,
Will get the tape measure out and check, you know what judges can be like when it comes to sizes

Indeed I do!

We have adjusted our schedule to cater for both, simply because; the older end tend to have 5" & 6" pots, and the younger ones have gone metric.

This saves lots of potential arguments.

and they deposited it up the side of my house.  ;D  it pays to have the gift of the gab, fluttery eyelashes, a good eye for a bargain and no shame.
