Title: One advantage in slow cooking?
Post by: tim on July 06, 2006, 13:50:43
Got the shoulder in early - AGA bottom oven & set down to 2 because of the heat.

Noted it was cooked (71C) after 2 hours or so - give it a little longer? - forgot it until the family arrived - PANIC!! - and this was 4 hours later!!

Moral - cook slow!!

Tim - that's making me drool just looking at it  :P

Did you serve it hot or cold?......maybe you mean't to serve it cold but because you ummmm (forgot it)......it had to be hot......but however, bet it was delish!

I cooked with an Aga for a year or two and before that a Rayburn - think they're wonderful but I'd die from the heat nowadays!

Warm to cold.

Goes further, & I like cold lamb fat.

We're on our 3rd day with it!!
