Title: CL's new garden
Post by: CotswoldLass on July 05, 2006, 22:56:01
Hi  all,

Well, after the move, we're settling in to North Hampshire. Hope you  are all in fine fettle.

Of course, in a new garden, what does one do? WEEDING!!!

Ouch, so much ground elder, bindweed, dreadful. But the whole process has revealed some lovely plants, which are loving their new-found freedom. Not there yet, but it has been lovely to sit outside in the evening and have something to admire.

Our garden is a little haven - surrounded by woodland. I'll be planning, but it is lovely, and we are happy here.

CL, really lovely to hear from you and you sound so happy, very pleased for you as I remember you being a bit aprehensive about moving to Hampshire.

Your garden sounds lovely and we look forward to seeing some photos, I hope you have taken some before you started so you can see your progress.  Do you have lots of wildlife visiting your garden from the woodland?

Looking forward to hearing more about it.  T

Nice to hear from you CL.  It sounds as though you are discovering a lovely garden as you get beyond the weeds.  It is good to hear that you are very happy there.  :) busy_lizzie

Sounds good CL. I agree with the others - some pics (if possible) would be nice.

Thing is now your user name isnt quite right now is it? Although 'Hampshire Lass' doesnt have quite the same ring to it! ;D

Thank you! Lurcher is on much better form - her best friend black lab has come to stay and he has cheered up enormously as well as encourgaing her appetite. Fingers crossed!

Will try to get some pics from Mum soonest. Meanwhile....back to the weeding...

Love CLx
PS Agree Hampshire Lass doesn't have the same ring, and I can imagine being back in the Cotswolds some time in the future..
PPS: We have deer here and the bird life is magnificent, although the bird table has been totally colonised by the Great Tits who don't seem to allow any other birds on!
