Title: cucumber possible disaster
Post by: legless on July 05, 2006, 14:35:55
my cucumber is doing really well, climbing up some railings, producing lots of fruit, just went out to look at it (as you do) and all the leaves are floppy. i can't find a break anywhere but it is windy, hot and has rained on it quite hard. do they normally react like this?

my uchiki kiri often wilt in the sun but perk up when out of it, is my cucumber possibly doing similar?

Yes, this is probably just heat stress and it will perk up with a good watering and cooler temps over night.

I think Tim posted a picture of his recently doing just the same.
