Title: Mystery catterpillar
Post by: Mrs Ava on July 02, 2006, 23:10:40
Found this today happily munching away on the leaves of a sunflower.  It was very pretty with long antlers.  Any ideas what it will become?

Vapourer moth. It's not a fussy eater, and can turn up on pretty well any deciduous tree or shrub.

Thanks chaps.  Looks quite handsome when it has turned and done the business.  I shall leave it well alone.  ;D
