Title: Freezing sugar snap peas
Post by: sand on July 02, 2006, 12:16:07
Can I freeze sugar snap peas?

I'm heading for a glut and want to freeze some if possible.  Just wondering if anyone has tried it with success?

Agree with tim - but you can sort of get away with it by adding at the last minute to something HOT e.g. stir fry, rather than steam. Are you sure you can't eat them all now?

Ok, we are reaching the end of the sugar snap peas now.

I've frozen lots and lots for stir fries, but the best has been seeing our teenagers wandering through the veg patch on their way to the field with the dog and grabbing handfuls of them to munch on.  They love then with humus to dip into too, so do I, yum yum.

Now on to the mangetout (rodney)   ;D
