Title: propagating bamboo
Post by: ImpressiveMarrow on July 02, 2006, 11:46:48
I have two large clumps of bamboo - one golden and one black. There are loads of runners coming off both clumps at present and I'm wondering if I can take these off somehow for replanting elsewhere.
Either that or has anyone any other tips for propagating bamboo??
Thanks for your help.

I treat them same as perennials, lift, cut through root ball ( with bread knife) and replant.  Give TLC for a couple of weeks.  All been ok since.  I on the other hand was wrecked with the amount of effort I expended.
