Title: crimson clover & courgettes?
Post by: Cinnamon on March 24, 2004, 17:00:36
Hi,

at the top of my lottie, my bees will live.  So, I planned to have crimson clover there so I don't have to hop about in front of the hives too much (they'll not apprechiate this!) but after a hard afternoons digging, I'm real tempted to try and grow some courgettes (or maybe something else) there that doesn't take too much fiddling about with.  Can I plant my courgettes(they've 4 leaves by now, sitting in my growhouse) inbetween the clover (and maybe some lavender)?  If not courgettes, would you suggest anything else (not growing too high)?

Bit early to plant courgettes out, but other than that I don;t think there'd be a problem... And the bees will love the lavender - in fact any flowering herbs are usually loved by Bees!

p.s. Honey bees don't like me, except for stinging practice - Ouch!
