She said we need garlic - OK I'll get some - thought it was one of the 'green garlic' lot - oh, no, it was an embryonic elephant. SO cross!! The only one of any kind that I've had bulk up this year.

Yes I understand your frustration, my elephant garlic is in very short supply at the moment, so I certainly don't want to use it in error.

Oh, what a b. Tim. But you still used it for cooking? Do you have more growing - and are they marked? Once again, I've a splendid crop - should you need cloves to start off in the Autumn, give me a shout?

Poor tim. I'm sure She appreciated it tho' :) I have no heffalumps this year, but next year ... :-\

I will tell you something Sarah, will normal garlic I lift by giving a gentle tug on the stem and up they pop. However, with these elephantine beasts, they need to be excavated !!!
