Missed mine this year - could have had one shoot in April, then a fortnight or so later, everything had gone tall and ferny.

No knife - stopped cutting 15 June.

But it still bugs me every time I pass the bed!!

I stopped cutting 20th June (and gave the results to my Spanish class with parma ham wrapped round - couldn't get serrano ham), but had a look tonight and they are HUGE and succulent looking. Temptation indeed.

Have interplanted my two rows with sweet corn and courgettes. Time will tell if I have overdone it...
