Title: My morning walk
Post by: nippie on June 24, 2006, 15:37:52
I thought I would share these photos with you all, that I took on my walk this morning.
We walked the bridle path between Brixham and Galmpton with the dog and everything looked so lovely.
I particularly like the foxglove. Aren't they elegant?

Nice to share the walk, and the foxgloves, and the poppies at their peak :)

I have red poppies on my lottie - one weed that is allowed to self set to its heart's content.  The wild foxglooves in the garden were enetering their second year but were dig up by the dog >:(

beautiful - my foxgloves are just about over.  Love the noise of the bees as they squeeze into the flowers

I've one foxglove that's extactly like the one in the pic.  My first.  It's in full bloom at the bottom but hasn't filled out at the top yet so i'm hoping i've got it for a few more weeks yet.  looks lovely alongside the cornflowers.

Hello MrsKP, If you have one foxglove I bet you have more next year they have thousands of seeds, you could collect them and sow them where you want them. They certainly are beautiful  :D
I'm glad someone else has a dog like mine redclanger, we have had to move all the pots off the patio because Sadie insisted in pruning all the plants  ::)  ;D

mum gave me thousands of foxglove seeds a couple of years ago, and what with a couple of changes of address, this is the only one that's survived.  i'll definitely be collecting some seeds though and spreading them, along with the cornflowers,
