Title: Bolting sprouts
Post by: Sprout on June 23, 2006, 18:54:48
One of my Peer Gynt sprout plants (which I bought from a garden centre as a small plant) has bolted. I've picked off the flower buds. Was this the right thing to do (as with onions etc)? Is the plant now useless or is it likely to still produce any sprouts?

Hmmm, I fear it may be curtains for that plant though I am very surprised at it bolting so soon!

Was it stressed in any way?

No I don't think so. It was one of six purchased from a garden centre and the others are doing fine.
Oh well, I'll dig it up and compost it next time.
