Hi
My Barlotta beans (climbing) have been OK till now, but after a couple of days of rain and some strong winds they are looking very poorly :'(
They are around 20 cm and just starting to try and climb, but now most of the growing tip, leaves and leaf stems are shrivelled.

Any thoughts for this new plotter ???
Youch pete, they have taken a battering haven't they :'(
Were they planted in the ground, or out of the cold frame/g'house? This sort of damage sometimes happens if sappy indoor plants haven't fully hardened off. But we have had awful weather :(
Do they look healthy up to the damaged top bit?
If so, you could try leaving them a week or so (sheltered if you possibly can - hang/peg fleece over the canes?) to see if they recover and re-shoot from the lower leaf joints. Sometimes climbing beans just seem to give up on the weaker top bits under stress, and retrench - they might just need a bit of time to recover. Snip off the damaged top so you don't get rot. If not, there's still plenty of time to sow more seed - my bb seeds are still going in the ground as we speak, and will do for the rest of the June, even the drying ones :)
Good luck pete, love those bbs! :P
My barlotty beans seem to be growing very slow they have been in the same time as me beans (Broad) which are now 2 to 3ft tall My barlotty are about errr 8" tall although they have not looked to healthy at times ?
