Title: PISA?
Post by: tim on June 21, 2006, 17:24:44
I showed our corn last year where that in the shade was half the size of the rest.

This is a new 'slant'!

very instructive :o - I remember your 'shade' pic from winter too
everything at 45% if not flattened, if not staked, on the plot today here :-[

PS That, by the way, is from being near a high wall - unseen on the left - the North - as opposed to being 'in the shade'.

Half of mine have lodged, despite being nowhere near a wall. We're a wee bit exposed.

I am going to errect a fence covered with scaffold netting as a wind break.

Mine was still standing when I looked at it last but I'm not sure I want to go down the Lottie after the winds of the last two days!

All's well that................

But why?? The sun, if anything, has been diminishing. Nothing else has changed.

So it wasn't the light - it was the wind. It's just happened again!!

Left is North - but it was a south wind coming back off the house wall.

Some of mine's been blown about by the breeze today as well.
