Title: Delia cu pickle - for moonbells
Post by: tim on June 21, 2006, 12:45:25
I always salt under heavy weights for at least half a day. The drier the longer it lasts? Add some red pepper for colour?

Oooh thankyou very much!

I have plenty of pickle jars and prefer sweet pickles (any excuse for cheese, Gromit!)
so I shall have fun here I think!

(Your winter veg soup recipe's still stuck to the fridge!)

Made this last year thanks to Tims recipe and WOW was it a winner!  Didn't make loads, wasn't sure if the old man would like it, he did of course!  Planning more this year.  ;D

I think I shall have to get out the food processor to do the slicing - I'm prone to slicing self if I do a lot of cutting! (Looks at RH ring fingertip accusingly and the current cut.)

I suspect at least one jar will have chillies added too, if Sir has anything to say!

Don't like it sliced - diced is much nicer.

Perhaps I should experiment!

Had to cut the first one of the latest lot today as the last bit of the previous trio seems to have got Pimmed by Sir when I wasn't looking!  It wasn't full size but lunch called!

Cos lettuces are on the verge of cutting, too, so I am hoping for more homegrown salad next week.

thanks again!
