I have a small - unheated - greenhouse and would like to be eating homegrown tomatoes as late into the season as possible. Any tips please?
I'll leave all the insulation stuff to the experts but, in Lincoln, you should be no worse off than we are. And we have had fruit up until Christmas. More typically, early November. Just depends!

well-we can keep peppers on the plant in pots in our unheated conservatory til new year and have harvested very healthy red 'uns on new years day..
and we cut the tomatoes down and hang them up in there to ripen the green ones and they do last til christmas...sometimes beyond if we're careful with handling them....
we also keep our onins and garlic in there in strings.....

To late for this year but HDRA (Grow Organic) Heritage seed library have a variety called Garden Peach, which ripens incredibly slowly off the vine and have eaten them up to feb half term one year... they improve in flavour with keeping as well but eventually the seeds sprout inside the tom which is a little strange, like a fig in texture!

some of mine are only 1" and a bit high at the minute but as Tim says Here they wehrre still growing until Novenber and if i had bothered to look after it i guess it would have done a lot better so carry on i say !!!
Even if you get a couple of trussess it still better than nothing but a seed in a pkt!!!
