that got your attention.
i spent 2 1/2 hours weeding this morning (shirt off hence the title) after the rain / sun bought loads of them up, also decided to have a dig around my early spuids and pull one up, these are foremost at about 9 weeks after planting, tasted lovely.

alos last year my potted toms kept blowing over once they became top heavy, so this year we have this little arrangement to hold them up, another cane secures it to the fence.

I would show you my first red strawberries of the year but, the temptation was too much and I ate them.
Tee Gee what type of strawberries are those? I would like to grow them if you know.
my god t g !! those strawbs are massive and look delicious.
dicky, nice one, i used the same trick a couple of years ago for a fundraiser, it's amazing how many guys turned up to a topless car wash!!! your totties look lovely.
Bet those spuds tasted nice Dicky, and what a neat arrangement for the toms!
I'd love to know the strawberry variety too Tee Gee, they do look good.
yum! we had our first strawberry today - was big enough for us to have a bite each - straight off the plant, was divine......... just need the rest of them to ripen now, one at a time is going to cause a fight eventually! :)

They are called Maxim
Mum bought me some Maxim strawbs last year and they are amazing! I have one at the plot that is the size of an apple! I hope it ripens. Some have been so huge, one is almost (note I said almost) enough!
Thanks for that TeeGee I will be ordering some of those for next year. Then trying to find a way to keep the blackbirds out of my netting.
