Rosa Mundi, Penelope and an unidentified Alba. Penelope is past its best; I'll get another pic when the next flush of bloom comes.
The Alba is just beautiful. ::) (meant to be an admiring glance)
very pretty :)
The Alba appears to be Rosa alba maxima, otherwise known as the Jacobite Rose and various other names.
Thanks Robert, does the perfume match its beauty?
it does on a good day. I find plant scents are very much dependent on the weather; the classic this year was two Dragon Arum blooms; I couldn't smell the first one at all, the second was quite distinct from twenty yards. i've no idea what made the difference.
Here's a better one of Penelope
I love old fashioned roses! Lovely, Robert! busy_lizzie
Beautiful robert, I can almost smell them from those photos :)
