I'ts a great feeling isn't it.  We had five new potatoes between OH and myself the other evening and I'm picking and eating a gooseberry each time I go down there!   ;D

I picked a pea on Tuesday - one pea in one pod !
That was the sum total that the plant produced but looking at the piece of cotton it came off I was impressed.

It was definitely not shared out but eaten raw when nobody was looking.

Will be sharing out some strawberries on Sunday.

Have just brought two lettuces home from the lottie, and had some lettuce sandwiches for lunch - they were brilliant!  My first harvest of the year from this years seeds.  Doesn't it make you feel good!  :D   busy_lizzie

oh I'm soooo jealous, can't wait to join you all.  Baby beans have appeared, strawberries forming, potatoes flowering and garlic yellowing (think that means its ready) so hopefully I shall have my first harvest very soon.

Checked my first ever attempts at growing peas and beans on wednesday. Previously last saw them on the sunday when some were in flower but now? Hey, I've got peas and beans growing away! whoo--hoo!

I have peas too! Very excited me down the lotty this morning. I got to my pea shrubberies, and was horrified to discover the flowers had gone! Was about to start cursing every bug I could think of, when I realised that instead of the flowers, I am now the proud owner of peapods! Some that look like they even have peas in them.

My lettuceses are growing really well, and I have high hopes for my carrots and raspberries too, and I've heaps of blueberries on my blueberries. It's so cool!

I've got about 10 blackcurrants on the bush that I only planted in November.

Any recipes for jam?!  ;D

Given up with the peas on attempt 2,but will take the wellies (in case of disturbing adders etc.) and go and check out the abandoned fruit bushes on the ground behind my plot tomorrow. Next year I intend to have my own. ;) Until then I'll go a wombling.

Oh for a summer pudding, I can hardly wait.
