Title: Purple Sprouting
Post by: timmyc on June 13, 2006, 13:11:04
We've been having all sorts of bother with PSB, the first lot was all eated by slugs, the 2nd got fried in the greenhouse on one of the early hot days we had at the start of may and the 3rd lot did not germinate at all. Is it now too late to sow again?

Not at all too late imho if it's a winter/spring crop you want :)
Sow them outdoors in a 8" pot, into seed compost, and you should have all you need - good luck :P

Hi timmyc, I sowed mine, Claret F1 yesterday into modular seed trays. Since I won't have any space for it for a few weeks there was no point sowing it earlier. I'm sure it will be fine. ;)

I despair with my PSB.  Has more than we could eat during early spring, then the 9star perrenial took over, and now I noticed my late winter planted plants are heading up!!  Far to early, but I am sure we will make good use of them.
