Post by: The gardener on March 18, 2004, 11:30:56
I know this is not exactly about allotments, but as it was raining this morning and I wanted something to do I took the following pictures of my garden at home;

Hope you like them!

You say  A Scotsman with a Welshmans garden !! Fingle! and to think............ its in England!!!!!!

You reminded me of something else..........I am married to a English girl and we were married in the village of Wales. I guess I took being 'cosmopolitan' a bit too far ::)

Might have to change my flag to the Union Jack!  ;D

You put me and mine to shame  :-[

Good job I've got the lottie which has a self-imposed ban on all boxer dog types.  ;D  ;D

Lovely! G.  Well worth a view. Let us know how you do in it?    Hard to believe it is Spring here. We now have heavy rain and gale force wind.   :(  busy_lizzie

Six entries;

Two Firsts

One Second

Two thirds.

Wasn't happy with the Second result.

Put this down to the bad light in the room.

Regarding the winner of that class; had the Judge seen what I saw when I staged the flowers for the member they would never have got a first.

This is not sour grapes, there were other bad descisions elsewhere...........but as they say.... 'the Judges word is final', and there is always next year :)

What a wonderful display of spring bulbs Gardener.  You must spend absolutely hours to keep your garden looking so good. ;D

Congrats on your placings in the Spring Show.  Know what you mean about the dodgy judging though.  I find results very hard to understand sometimes at our annual shows. :-\

Congrats on your results Gardener!  :( Sorry you didn't get what you'd hoped for.  It is disappointing when you produce something so lovely and don't get the recognition you deserve.  As you say, there is always next year.  All the best.   :) busy_lizzie
