I have these growing on my allotment and was hoping someone could help me identify them. The first is a tree, about 20ft tall, which I thought could be a hazel but I have been told that it's purely ornamental. if anyone knows what it's called that would be great

This looks like a vine, growing around the base of the tree. It looks like it could be some kind of currant but I don't know which one

Thanks for any suggestions
The one with the broad leaves looks a bit like hop.

The other might be a silk tassel bush:

The first one I think is Garry Elliptica. AKA silk tassel bush.
The shrub with the tassels is Garrya elliptica, the other one is indeed a hop, Humulus lupulus.
Beware the bristles on the leaves and stems of the hop which can leave red wheals on bare skin, and the sap stains clothes badly. Sometimes I wonder why I don't dig the darned thing up!
Love the Garrya. Wish my garden was big enough to do it justice.
Hops!?!??!?! Am I looking at a different picture? The bottom picture has a current-like leaf and currents on the bush, I would have thought that its red/white current (although, they shouldn't be vine like). It certainly doesn't look like my hop plants....
Crush a leaf a smell it, hops smell beery/lemony.
Hi bbb, the first one looks like a fine garrya elliptica, the second climbing one looks like bryony which may also be called old man's beard ::)

I am with you, looks very much like a currant to me in the last 2 pictures.

I will third it on the currant suggestion. My blackcurrants have flopped due to weight of fruits, and the new green shoots I suppose could look vine like.
