Looked them both up in Alan Wilson's the story of the potato but it doesn't say, Belle has short and spreading foliage and if not yet planted a distinct bend in the tubers, Charlotte is more oval? Any help?

Grotbag, my trays got mixed up just before planting so I don't know which are my pentland javelin and which are my desiree.  I did think that maybe my pj's would arrive before my d's, but no they've both arrived together and are the same height ... sigh

has anyone got any top tips for identifying them ?

I went to Potato day at Ryton this year, and one bag of ten tubers we brought back hadn't got the name scrawled on it, so it is in the ground as Scooby's spuds!
