This wasn't the only loving couple, there were three in total but these were the only pair in full view.

That reminds me of a few years ago when my oldest daughter and her friends came racing into the house (aged about 7) to tell us that they had spotted a mummy frog and a baby frog in the garden.
When asked how they knew it was a mummy and a baby, they said it was because the mummy was carrying the baby on her back. ;D
Aw! I think frogs are brill! Haven't seen any at all this year :( Never mind, your picture has made up for it EJ ;D
Denbee that is such a canny memory ;D
I've heard them croaking in a very overgrown pond where I manage to spot them about one year in three, and toads never, and that's all.
EJ. I also like frogs. Although I have no water in my garden other than the bird bath and a small water feature for several years I got loads of frogs particularly in the green house. I didn't get any last year or this. Wonder why?
Love frogs too! What a great pic EJ! Lots of frogs in our garden with having two ponds, and I love to watch them lounging in the sun on the big rock in the middle of one of them. Natures wonderful! :) busy_lizzie
