Title: Red leaves
Post by: jennym on June 05, 2006, 18:14:55
Ages ago I decided to put in some plants with leaves that had different tints of red, and its this time of year that I really enjoy seeing them, hope you like them too.

Fabulous!  I love different coloured foliage and do love the smoke bush!  I have a few reds, a berberis, photinia red robin, red/purple fern, also lots of variagated.  I know some people don't like coloured leaves, but I love them!  Great pics Jen!

Jenny I certainly like them. Aha! more ideas for my postage stamp garden. I could always knock the sun room and pigeon loft down to give me some more room for growing ;D Thanks for showing.
Lorna.

Lovely pics, Jenny, I too love red/purple foliage.  This year for instance I'm trying Penstemon Mystica (courtesy of a seed swap) which has bronze leaves which turn red in Autumn and Salvia Lyrata 'purple volcano', a handy shade lover.  Will post pics later in the year when they are a bit bigger.   ;D

They are very beautiful and mix well with the other shades of green.

The more colours, the better Jen !
