I love Springwatch. I love Bill Oddie. But more than all of that, I LOVE THE THEME MUSIC! I know lots of you stroll between here and the beeb so I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me about the music. Is it available to buy??
Love seeing the nests. Really enjoyed seeing the Geese tonight - for some strange reason, Geese are my favourite birds! (roasted or free flying! ;D) Did I miss the Jacdaw baby tonight?? The otters are interesting, but I do fine that Simon chap a little irritating.
I love Springwatch too EJ. We watch it avidly every night while it is on, and it is always a bit sad when it ends because you get fond of all the birds and want to know how they are doing. The music was specially composed for Springwatch by someone called David Poore. My OH was just saying last night that he didn't care for Simon either, because he was so stiff and his voice is so monotone. Bill Oddie and Kate Humble always make a good team; there is such a good rapport between them. :) busy_lizzie
I enjoyed watching about the geese last night too, and weren't those otters cute, I love the way they play together :)
Funny you should say that - I've been plotting to record the theme, too!
Missed last night so I know what I'm going to be watching in my lunch break.
I can't believe they're filming EJ and Henry at Loch Garten - if anyone has only just made their acquaintance, may I suggest reading previous years' Osprey diaries at

What a load of shenanigans they get up to!!!! (The diaries also explain their names...)

I watched again tonight, isn't that amazing Louis flying at 93km/h, that's fast!
I agree. I had no idea that Geese moved so quickly! And what a journey.
Loved seeing the sparrows at London Zoo. We have a lot of sparrows living in our Asda carpark! Good shelter as they all gather under the trolley bay and of course, lashings of food from dropped shopping, bins, and Maccy D's which is closeby.
Baby Jackdaw is sooooooooooo cute! And so are those baby flycatchers. Hope the dad pulls his finger out, or claw out, and starts to help out with the feeding.
not caught any of the "grown-up" Springwatch, but they do a children's version on CeeBeeies and me and the 4 year old have been watching that.
It's very good and best of all you get to watch Bill answering nature questions put to him by a small, green, squeaky-voiced puppet called Jelly!
