Hi hope some one can put my mind at ease . One of my spud plants has a couple of yellowing leaves.
Is this a sign of blight or am i being a bit paranoid .

Probably a little early for blight, though with the wet and warm conditions we've had recently, it would be unwise to rule anything out. If you follow this link, the British Potato Council site has a section on Blight, with a photo to look at.

As the guide says, Potato Blight has a pale ring around the dead part of the leaf. Usually, yellow leaves are a sign of the plant being under stress due to adverse local conditions or a soil deficiency of some description. I'm a book-learned imposter in my first season on the plot, ;) but I'm sure one of the long timers will be able to help you out! ;)

My tomatoes have been hit by early blight, classic target clear now. So it looks like early blight has arrived very early this year.
Hopefully you haven't got it though. Currently my patio is covered in bordeaux mix.

I have noticed that one plant in the middle of a row of my first early potatoes is yellow and stunted. I was going to pull it out to be safe but forgot before I left the plot. It doesn't look like the photos on the link - maybe just a dud?? :-\
