Title: First meal of new potatoes

:)We have just come down from the lottie with enough new potatoes (charlottes) for us to have a taste each for dinner!!! They were planted on Good Friday, thats only six weeks. We are inSomerset, and they were planted on a south facing slope. Hope they taste as good as .they look.

nothing tastes as good as your first crop of potatoes........getting impatient to get tore into mine. hope they tasted great.

I dug up one plant Pentlin Javelin an early and I only got 1 potato so I was really disappointed.

I dug up a Red Duke of York plant yesterday and got two reasonable potatoes and several marbles, so was also disappointed - but the colour is absolutely beautiful. They were also planted in early March (I put 5 tubers in early as an experiment, and they all look well).
