As nothing has happened in the pots that I planted my Dwarf Beans in I thought it would be a good idea to investigate. NO BEAN.......not in any pot of that batch. No evidence at all of any beans having been there at all, and I KNOW I did sow them!!
Can they just disintigrate ? How very dare they. The crime has occured in my greenhouse, so I don't think a creature has eaten them, and the pots didn't look disturbed.
Has anybody else experienced similar?
Sown a new batch with every precaution taken against everything I can think of................. >:(
mice?
munch..munch..slither .....slim...(i'm a slug-can you tell?)munch.....fiiiizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz-berhooger!....oops!just hit the salt! ;D
killerkitty the salt queen
My caddy tray of runners has been decimated by snails >:(
Well I hope whatever nasty beastie it was has a bad attack of wind from the said beans and is blown to kingdom come. The thought of a farting mouse,an exploding slug or a jet propelled snail goes some way to make up for the missing beans. ;D ;D ;D
Not like me to swear-a tray of Frech, all but one grower, two melons,4 cucumbers a shed load of basil.
I think we should take out a Court Action against the owners of the Magic Roundabout for ever giving the impression snails were nice
They're nice and crunchy ;D
actually I think they've got sweet little faces
:-[ ;D
Lish!! :o :o :o :o Go to the back of the class and repeat 2674 times, Snails and slugs are our enemies and we must destroy! ;D
i'm teaching my slugs the art of undersaltwater swimming.
pop em in a pot of water, sprinkle on some salt and put a sheet of glass over the top.
they don't seem to have got the hang of it yet though.

;D ;D def a trade description act breach!
Not too good at murder so I have been flinging them over our 8ft wall between us and the pub car park next door........only had one sure hit that I know of ::) (it was the 'oi' that told me). Pity I can't reach their garden, I could aim for the beer !!
know what you mean. I had to really syke myself up to squish some lilly beetles the other day. hey are so beautiful, but they were all over my lillies!
I put the contents of my slug traps (1/2 grapefruits - so they are alive) in the wheelie bin, figure it will take them ages to crawl out again and they can go and live happily ever after on the dump away from my garden!
please - no one spoil this image for me ;D
No disturbing to see in all the pots???
May be to much water and the beans have rotten away ???
Here, after all the rain we have had, (finally after 2 weeks of summer) the air is very damp, even in the greenhouse, so I hardly have to water the plants.
