It dawned on me earlier today just how lucky I am. Whilst wishing that there were more hours in the day I began wondering where you all find the time to fit everything in. I only have one child, a 19 month old so have no school runs, I'm also lucky enough not to have to work and yet I still find it difficult to fit all my housework etc in, especially since I got my lottie
a niniteen month old is demanding of attention. i remember when my two were that age, its very tiring and you rarely get more than about twenty minutes to accomplish any task before something else child related needs to be done, and then when they go to bed youre knackered. i think if you find time to do anything for yourself when they are that age you are doing very well indeed. i try not to worry too much about housework, it'll still be there when the kids have grown up and left home; do it then!
Who needs sleep? ;)
Try being a teacher with a lottie - eh Robert? ;)
work nights, and do without sleep.
a 19 month old is time consuming. my two are both at school now but last year J was still at home with me, everything took twice as long to do, very enjoyable but also very time consuming. OH and I are lucky in that I work from home (my workload is very low) and OH works for himself so we can juggle our time very easily. :)
I was really bad at housework until we completely gutted our house. Now it's so nice to have a new kitchen & bathroom after years of living with really horrible ones, that i really do try and cram it all in.
My eldest is at school & the little one starts in September so I can't wait until everything becomes a bit less hectic. I will actually be able to concentrate on what I am doing rather than thinking of what I should be doing! I too am fortunate enough to not have to work. My OH works really long & stressful hours so I try and make sure that everything runs smoothly at home.
I have found that if I set myself a small house task each day then it all gets done in small chunks and I don't feel guilty about being at the lottie.
I also try and do a menu for each week so that I know exactly what I'm supposed to be cooking and don't have to do a mad rush round to the local shop whan I realise that there's nothing to eat.
Have just re-read those last two sentences - maybe I should be dyeing my hair red and changing my name to Bree! :o :o

I really don't know how some of you with jobs and children and allotments do it. I am filled with admiration how you manage to squeeze it all in, especially this time of year when there is so much to do. :) busy_lizzie
Shift work rules ok ;D
The house from March to November is a tip!
(and why oh why is it no one ever turns up unexpected when you have just cleaned from top to toe???!!!)
Teenagers get taken (taxied) to stuff under protest from me! (mumblings of I could be on the lottie now, you do have legs for a reason you know, etc! ;D)
Luckily I only work 2 days outside the house, some inside on the computer!
But the benefits........................cupboards full of chutney, freezer full of produce, fresh air, fresh veg, etc.
So why oh why can't I ever seem to have enough hours in a day? got a lottie thats why! ;D ;D Oh well, the laundry can wait till the winter!! ;)
I don't have enough hours in the day. 6 year old at school, 2 nearly 3 year old at home, childmind a baby all day which I started in January, continuing Avon that I did as some pocket money for me as I don't like to let my customers down and also took on the allotment October. I spend my time trying to fit everything in here and there. But I love it because I have to be busy can't sit around. When I come on line this is my relaxing time or i'd be doing something else.
Not having enough hours in the day is always a problem. My kids are at school now so that helps but with OH going back to work on the 5th June and me trying to find a job it will be hard to keep the lottie looking good.
I've not managed to get down there for the last 3 days due to my dad being in hospital so poor OH has had to feed the pony, sort the lottie, pick the kids up and do the housework bless him!
Hopefully by the time the 5th June comes round things will be a little less hectic ::)

I've long ago come to the conclusion that good teachers don't sleep. I do most of it during the holidays. The next few weeks are going to be a complete nightmare with the weeds growing full blast and piles of GCSE's to mark.
;D
Yep...shift work makes it possible for me. I have noticed that the weather is often rubbish at the weekends, I have lots of days off in the week so I can go when it's fine! That theory has been blown out of the water today though :-\
Also night shifts mean I can cut down on sleep and do lottie things in the daytime when I would otherwise be at work. 9-5 and Monday to Friday? No Thanks!!
