Title: Kniphofia northiae
Post by: Palustris on May 22, 2006, 09:29:26
This flower spike is a good two feet long and about 3 inches across at the widest point. The leaves on the plant are evergreen and huge long trailing things. Sadly here they get damaged over the winter, but if I had the time and energy I could trim them and they would still look ok.
They are the first ones to appear and the birds adore them!

Lovely Eric.  I have a dinky little one, well several clumps of it, and it does get scruffy over the winter.  Mine doesn't flower until the start of summer so it is lovely to see yours!
